Hi, my name is John and I experienced psychosis on November 28th, 2014. I was hospitalized for a month in a psych ward. Since my release I attempted to reintegrate into work life, but I ended up on disability leave. It's taken me seven years to wrap my head around what happened. I've published three books based on my experience, six online books. I'm looking for someone with a scientific, or magical, or Godly base to read and interpret my writing. It's very cathartic for me, to open a dialogue with people about my philosophy.

Notes on Part 1: General Points: 1. Rejection of a customer/seller model (e.g., repeated business concerns, customer always being right, etc.). 2. Psychiatrists have fallen to the same model of repeated customers, etc. 3. You offer an alternative (one time, no charge, etc.) The first question I have is: How is this ‘concentric’ differ from introspection or even Jung’s notion of the ‘shadow’ self that we all have the potential to display (i.e., an evil side)? If you are offering something different, you might want to hammer home a bit more about what makes it different. I think the experience you bring (having been on this 7+ year journey), and gives youinsight that might be of great value to those who are not finding it in other forums. Finally, if you are introducing yourself, then perhaps take some more time to say a bit more about your background, upbringing, education, etc. As to the comments about truth, I think you are right. Truth is not faith or a replacement of anything but a means to getting to something deeper. Notes on Part 2: There is a simpler point in this passage that gets a bit convoluted. What I think you are hammering out is that politicians (or princes, leaders) or those we vote for, are also stuck in the same model as psychiatrists and businesses that cater to the interests of the customer than cater to the truth. Politicians are interested in the next election and not necessarily the truth. They go where popular opinion goes. What I think you are trying to do is to show the hypocritical nature of politics and its inability to give the governed what they need (which is the truth, and being told they are wrong when they are wrong). If the aim of this section is to use an illustration (politics) to flesh out your idea in Part 1 (about truth), then it is important that you make this part as clear as possible so as to achieve its purpose. Analogies can be tricky. On the one hand, they are useful for explaining a more complicated point through an example that most people can comprehend. On the other hand, an analogy has to be a strong one in order to carry over the conclusions you wish to make of it. The same goes for the three diagrams you use (Prince, White liberal, etc.). Those are placed but they are not exposited too much. If you use them, explain them! As for ‘voting’, the idea of voting is not to get a truthful answer but to determine, ideally through a fair method, what the preference of the people is. Of course, the whole process is corrupt and fair elections are few these days. And I think that is more to your point. But voting, on its own, is neither good nor bad. It is just a process. Notes on Part 3: This is by far the best of the three parts insofar as it uses themain model (delusion/truth/conspiracy) and their relation to one another, and their relation to reality (e.g. they mirror it or they don’t). This is a focused section even if it takes a bit more time for the reader to think through the diagrams and the implications of relying on delusion or conspiracy as a means of living a life that never questions anything or ever aligns their ideas to truth or reality. The final paragraph is a repeat of the opening paragraph. I take it you did that on purpose but I wasn’t sure why. OVERALL COMMENTS 1. This was a joy to read as it gave me a bit of insight into the tension you perceive between how we conduct our affairs (in mental health, business, government, etc) and their impact on truth and civility (among other things). 2. The three parts go well together a. Part 1: Intro and explains the model you take issue with (industry that caters to customer and their claims) b. Part 2: Offers an illustration to help flesh out the problem as exhibited in today’s politica c. Part 3: Offers a more conceptual breakdown of the model and the problems with conspiracy and disillusion. The whole reading has a Plato feel to it. That is to say, many live believing in the ideas they perceive without reflection. Truth has been subverted by other interests, and there is a need to correct our perception so as to see truth in itself rather than the illusions that distract us. |

I've spent over 7 years overcoming my experience with psychosis. I have charted my journey through authoring books and websites. I have many peculiar skills including:
Many tools were necessary to document what happened to me. It was a violating experience. I want to help people in my free time overcome their trauma. I need to find a good fit, so read my content to see for yourself. I bravely critique my inability to know myself through truth (not delusion or conspiracy). What I know of trauma is its repetitiveness. Therefore trauma (and the answers they spawn) are predictable.

PSYCHOSIS
November 28th 2014
Definition of Psychosis:
"The word psychosis is used to describe conditions that affect the mind, in which people have trouble distinguishing between what is real and what is not. When this occurs, it is called a psychotic episode. A first episode of psychosis is often very frightening, confusing and distressing, particularly because it is an unfamiliar experience."
