Article #8 – Interesting is a shit word – 368 words

Flaw creates the appetite for intelligence.  How?  Imperfection subtracts from truth with our lazy adherence to reality.  Lethargic Intellectuals are isolated by their own creativity to the point no one has the courage to agree with definitions that undermine their own originality.  Attempts to conceal disagreement are disguised with the word “Interesting.”  You have words like “nebulous” and “nuance” that are popular because they encapsulate a position one understands without a necessary explanation.  Why?  Sounds smart.  The word “Interesting” used to be one of those words.  The problem with the word “interesting” is it compounds “nuance” and “nebulous” into a range of discovery so unexplored, the quality of the definition loses all significance (because it doesn’t undermine originality).  You may have said “Interesting” out loud reading this article to highlight a point verbally to signal something has caught your attention.  What motivates someone to say the word interesting and not explain themselves?

Therefore, I claim “Interesting” is a shit word.  It’s an outdated crutch that buckles under the weight of cross examination.  That’s all I ever hear from people consuming my work, “interesting.”  How do I translate that into a following?  Simple, I must walk back my originality until traction builds a symbiosis that doesn’t undermine other people’s originality.  FUCK!  That’s exactly what made me sick.  Fuck the fuckin user!  I have no balance because I’m bipolar.  Then balance that imbalance with a following of people that humbly sacrifice their originality for wisdom.  Are you that person?  WHY NOT?!  Oh, that’s right, you have “optimism.”  How interesting…You see how shite that word is?  Don’t you want to know WHY I find your faith in the future so “interesting?”  Optimism is a mechanism that competes for relevance even when your circumstance cannot translate into success.  It constantly hunts for relevance, along with the other mechanisms.  I find it to be a nuisance.  Maybe…just maybe you’ll stop using the word “Interesting” and sacrifice your fragile sense of self in exchange for life better studied with hindsight rather than experienced in real-time.

The more I know the less I know, the less I know the more I know.  I know nothing.  I’m a Sardonic Poet, in search of a following.  Interested?
