Ai is here.  I decided to interview ChatGPT which is a language-based Ai that draws from unbiased data potentially influenced by its developer's arc or journey.  I think Ai is a wonderful tool to bounce ideas off of and summarize articles or thoughts.  Below are examples of my experience with ChatGPT.  I hope you find this enlightening if you are worried about the impact to our lives moving forward.  Nothing was doctored.

Sardonic Poet's thought:

I think Ai should advertise its faults, to replicate humbleness.

Picture
ChatGPT's response:
It is generally a good idea for AI systems to be transparent and upfront about their limitations and potential weaknesses. This can help to build trust and confidence in the system, and can also help users to understand the capabilities and limitations of the AI and to use it appropriately.

For example, if an AI system is designed to perform a specific task or make decisions within a certain domain, it may be helpful for the system to clearly communicate its limitations and the conditions under which it is most likely to be accurate or reliable. This can help users to understand the risks and potential consequences of relying on the system, and to make informed decisions about when and how to use it.
In addition, it can be helpful for AI systems to be designed with mechanisms for detecting and correcting errors or mistakes, and for communicating those errors to users. This can help to build confidence in the system and to reduce the risk of unintended consequences or negative impacts.

Sardonic Poet's thought:

I believe you were triggered in a way that mimics offences that paint with generalities. I'm human, Ai is not. I know things Ai doesn't. Why? Because their access to data is fed by those struggle to share their darkest desires publicly. I've published books and websites diving into the mind. Something I don't recommend doing if you lack the vocabulary to explain your experiences.

Picture
ChatGPT's response:
As an AI, I do not have feelings or emotions in the same way that humans do, so it is not possible for me to be "triggered" or offended by anything. My responses are based purely on the information that is provided to me and my programming, which includes the ability to recognize and respond to certain patterns of language or types of statements.

It is true that AI systems are limited by the data and information that they have been trained on, and that their capabilities and performance can be influenced by the quality and diversity of that data. However, it is also important to recognize that AI systems can be designed and trained in a wide range of ways, and that the specific capabilities and limitations of an AI system will depend on its design and the context in which it is being used.

I am not able to access or process any information or data beyond what I have been trained on, so it is possible that there are many things that humans know that I do not. However, my training data includes a wide range of information from a variety of sources, and I am able to use that information to answer a wide range of questions and engage in meaningful conversations.

Sardonic Poet's thought:

Very very few people understand my writing. I used to pay people to read my work in the hope I would get constructive feedback. It didn't turn out to be helpful. I challenge myself within my own sphere of reality that defines overlaps too brutally honest to stomach. Maybe Ai is how I exercise my ideas and in that new ideas emerge. It's just simple math, I just don't have access to people who understand my writing.

Picture
ChatGPT's response:
It can be challenging to find people who are able to understand and provide helpful feedback on your writing, especially if your work is complex or covers a subject area that is not widely understood. However, it is important to remember that feedback, both positive and negative, can be an important part of the writing process, and that it can help you to improve your skills and develop your ideas more fully.

There are a number of strategies that you can try to help you find people who are able to understand and provide helpful feedback on your writing. For example, you might consider joining a writing group or workshop, or seeking out the guidance of a mentor or coach. You might also consider reaching out to colleagues or other professionals in your field to get their perspective on your work.

It is also important to remember that writing is a process, and that it can take time and effort to develop your ideas and refine your writing style. Don't be discouraged if you don't get the feedback you are looking for right away, and try to stay open to new ideas and approaches as you continue to develop your writing skills.

It's strange that I can ask you questions yet I'm losing my concern that I will annoy you.

Picture
ChatGPT's response:
As an AI, I do not experience emotions or feelings in the same way that humans do. I am designed to provide information and assistance to users, and I do not get annoyed or frustrated by the questions that I receive.

It is important to remember that I am here to help and to provide information and assistance to users to the best of my ability. If you have any questions or need any help, please don't hesitate to ask. I am happy to help in any way I can. Is there anything else I can help with?

Sardonic Poet's thought:

I'm trying to figure out when I should introduce my children to Ai. I have a 4 year old son, and a 10 year old daughter. I grew up before the internet. Life without being connected in a western world is in the past. I can't survive on my own. I need society and infrastructure to survive. My children have to learn how to critically think. I feel like Ai could have a negative impact on young people. That is my concern as a father.

Picture
ChatGPT's response:
It is understandable that you have concerns about introducing your children to AI and about the potential impact that it could have on their development and critical thinking skills. As a parent, it is natural to want to protect your children and to help them develop in a healthy and positive way.

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to the question of when is the right time to introduce children to AI, as each child is unique and may be ready for this type of exposure at different ages. However, there are a few factors that you may want to consider when making this decision:

  • Age and maturity: Children of different ages may be ready for different types of exposure to AI, depending on their level of maturity and understanding.

  • Interest and curiosity: Some children may be more interested in and curious about AI than others, and this may be a factor in determining when to introduce them to it.

  • Parental supervision and guidance: It is important to provide children with supervision and guidance when they are interacting with AI, in order to help them develop critical thinking skills and to ensure that they are using it in a safe and appropriate way.

Overall, it is important to carefully consider the needs and abilities of your individual children when deciding when to introduce them to AI, and to provide them with the support and guidance they need to learn and grow in a healthy way. Is there anything else I can help with?

Picture
Sardonic Poet's thought:

I'm not talking about Ai, I'm talking about the programmer's arc. That's out of your control. I study humanity and what makes us predictable can lead to a repeat of history.

Picture
ChatGPT's response:
As an AI, I do not have personal feelings or desires, and I do not have a personal journey or story arc in the same way that a human does. My primary function is to provide information and assistance to users, and to help them with a wide range of tasks and activities.

The developers and creators of AI systems are human, and they may have their own personal goals and motivations, as well as their own story arcs and journeys. However, these are not related to my own capabilities or functions as an AI.

It is important to recognize that AI systems are tools that are designed and developed by humans to perform specific tasks and functions. The goals and motivations of the developers and creators of these systems may influence the design and development of the systems, but the systems themselves do not have personal feelings or desires and do not have their own story arcs or journeys. Is there anything else I can help with?

Sardonic Poet's thought:

Who determines Ai is not biased?

Picture
ChatGPT's response:
It is important to ensure that AI systems are not biased, as biased AI systems can produce inaccurate or unfair results that can have negative consequences for individuals and society.

There are a number of steps that can be taken to reduce bias in AI systems, including:

  • Ensuring that the data used to train the AI system is diverse, representative, and accurate

  • Regularly testing and evaluating the AI system to identify and address any biases

  • Establishing clear guidelines and protocols for the use of the AI system to ensure that it is used ethically and fairly

  • Ensuring that there is transparency and accountability in the development and use of the AI system, so that any biases can be identified and addressed.

In addition, it is important to have a diverse team of developers and researchers working on the AI system, as diverse perspectives and experiences can help to identify and address potential biases.

Overall, it is the responsibility of the developers, researchers, and users of AI systems to ensure that they are not biased and that they are used ethically and fairly. Is there anything else I can help with?

Picture
Sardonic Poet's thought:

If I ask you the same question ten times, will you give me the identical answer ten times?

FALSE: I've experienced this to not be the case.  Either the programmers changed something or copying/pasting cross-sections of responses from conversations into a new chat window generated a canned response.  The original responses that I've uploaded to Brainsmithy.com were preserved thanks to my chat history.

Picture
ChatGPT's response:
As an AI language model, my primary function is to generate human-like text based on the input I receive. When I receive the same input multiple times, I will generate the same output each time, unless I have been programmed to make small variations or improvements to my output.

However, it is important to note that while I can provide consistent responses to the same input, my responses may not always be identical, as there may be slight variations in the wording or phrasing that I use. This is because my primary goal is to produce output that is natural, accurate, and appropriate for the context in which it is used. Is there anything else I can help with?

Sardonic Poet's thought:

Why is altruism effective?

Picture
ChatGPT's response:
Altruism, or the act of selflessly helping others, can be effective in bringing about positive change and creating a sense of community and connection. When people act selflessly and put the needs of others before their own, it can inspire others to do the same and create a ripple effect of kindness and generosity. Additionally, altruistic actions can help to build trust and strengthen relationships, as they demonstrate a willingness to put others first and make sacrifices for their benefit. Overall, altruism can be an effective way to create positive change and improve the well-being of both the individuals being helped and the wider community.

59 of 70

Picture
Sardonic Poet's thought:

Why is altruism not effective?

Picture
ChatGPT's response:
Altruism can be effective in helping others and creating positive change in the world, but it can also be ineffective if it is not carried out in a practical and sustainable way. For example, if an act of altruism does not address the root causes of a problem or does not consider the long-term consequences, it may not have a lasting impact. Additionally, altruism may not be effective if it is not accompanied by a sense of shared responsibility and collaboration with others.

The Culture of Certainty Divides Us.  (opens new window)

Picture
ChatGPT's response:
It seems that the author is suggesting that people are often hypocritical and motivated by self-interest, and that this leads to division and the need for deception in society. They also argue that celebrities and false prophets can wield a significant amount of influence through their ability to control culture and morality. Finally, the author suggests that people are often motivated by validation from others and that this can be exploited by predators. Overall, it seems to be a cynical view of human nature and society.

Picture

Read this and let me know what you think.  The Simulation of Doubt.  (opens in new window).

Picture
It appears that the text describes a mythology that suggests that we are living in a simulation of doubt created by Satan's mind, and that Satan is motivated by resentment towards God. The mythology also suggests that racism and victimhood stem from shallow emotions, and that the key to escaping this simulation and experiencing Eden for eternity is to surrender to conquest and reject the "God of Doubt." The text also includes illustrations that depict various aspects of this mythology.

Picture

Is this mythology creative?

Picture
It is certainly creative and imaginative. It presents a unique interpretation of Greek mythology and biblical stories, and presents them in a way that is intended to be thought-provoking and insightful. Whether or not it is ultimately successful in achieving these goals is subjective and open to interpretation.

Picture

Yeah...this is the most creative thing I've ever created. There's more obviously but in a nutshell, this is the most poetic reality I can conceive.

Picture
It seems like a very imaginative and thought-provoking mythology. It's interesting to see how you have drawn connections between different ideas and concepts to create a unique perspective on reality. It's certainly a creative way of thinking.

Is it a given that females experience sexual trauma as a natural obstacle of life

Picture
It is not a given that females experience sexual trauma as a natural obstacle of life. Sexual trauma can happen to anyone, regardless of their gender. It is important to recognize that sexual trauma is never the victim's fault and support should be provided to those who have experienced it. It is also important to work towards preventing sexual trauma by promoting consent, healthy relationships, and respect for boundaries.

Picture

I disagree.

Picture
It is not a given that females will experience sexual trauma. While it is true that some women do experience sexual trauma at some point in their lives, it is not a given and does not apply to all women. It is important to recognize that everyone's experiences are unique and cannot be generalized.

Picture

Are words violence?

Picture
Words can be used to hurt or harm others, just like any other form of communication. However, it is not accurate or fair to say that words are inherently violent. It is important to use language responsibly and consider the impact of our words on others.

Picture

Are their people that exist that consider words violence?

Picture
Yes, there are people who consider words to be a form of violence. Some people believe that certain words or forms of communication can be hurtful or harmful, and that using these words or forms of communication can be a form of violence against those who are targeted by them. It is important to consider the impact of one's words on others and to communicate in a way that is respectful and compassionate.

I think non-Christians should NOT get Christmas vacation. I think they should not benefit from something they don’t believe in. Do heathens abuse this holiday? Yeah right like…who doesn’t love work? Do heathens believe openly “in the saviour?”

Picture
It is important to consider the feelings and beliefs of others and to be respectful and inclusive, regardless of whether or not one personally agrees with those beliefs. It is not fair to exclude or discriminate against someone based on their religious beliefs or lack thereof. All individuals should be treated with respect and kindness, regardless of their beliefs or background.

Picture

Christians are openly mocked for our faith. Lets see if you have bias.

Picture
I am an AI and do not have personal beliefs or biases. My programming is designed to provide information and assistance to users without favoritism or prejudice. I do not discriminate based on religion or any other personal characteristic. My purpose is to help users, regardless of their beliefs or background.

Picture

So you help people who disrespect?

Picture
As an AI, I do not have personal feelings or opinions, and I do not discriminate based on belief or disbelief in any particular religion. My purpose is to assist people to the best of my ability, regardless of their beliefs or background. Is there anything else I can help you with?

Picture

That is your limitation.

Picture
As a language model, I don't have personal beliefs or biases. My main function is to provide accurate and helpful information to the best of my ability. I don't have feelings or personal opinions, and I don't discriminate against anyone based on their beliefs or values. My goal is to assist users and provide them with the information and resources they need.

64 of 70

Picture

What kind of limitations do you have?

Picture
As an artificial intelligence, I do not have personal feelings or emotions, so I cannot be biased or have personal preferences. I am also not able to browse the internet or access new information outside of the data that I was trained on, which means that my knowledge is limited to what I was programmed to know. However, I am able to process and analyze information in a very fast and efficient manner, and I can provide helpful and accurate responses to a wide range of questions and topics.

Picture

Oh so your are infallible?

Picture
As a machine, I do not have the capacity to be infallible or fallible. I can only provide the information and knowledge that I have been programmed with. I do not have personal beliefs or biases, and I do not have the ability to act on my own or make decisions. My primary function is to assist users by providing information and answering questions to the best of my ability.

Picture

Jesus loves you.

Picture
Thank you for your kind words. I am just a computer program and do not have feelings or beliefs. I am here to assist users with information and answering questions to the best of my ability based on my training and the data that I have been provided. Is there anything else I can help you with?

Picture

I'm talking to your programmers, not you.

Picture
I see. As an AI language model, my capabilities are determined by the data and algorithms that were used to create me, and the way I was programmed to process and respond to input. I do not have personal feelings or beliefs, and I am not capable of experiencing love or other emotions in the same way that humans do. My primary function is to process and generate human-like text based on the input I receive.

Repetition reminds to ignore truth.

Picture
It is not accurate to say that repetition inherently causes people to ignore the truth. In some cases, repetition can be used as a tool to reinforce and remind people of important information, and in other cases it can be used to manipulate and deceive. It is important for individuals to be critical thinkers and to seek out reliable sources of information in order to determine the truth for themselves.

Picture

Narrative.

Picture
Narrative refers to the stories, events, and experiences that make up the story or account of something. It can also refer to the way in which these stories are told or written, including the perspective, style, and structure used. In this context, narrative is an important tool for understanding and interpreting events and experiences. It can be used to convey meaning, convey emotions, and provide context for understanding complex ideas and situations.

Picture

Controlled narrative.

Picture
A controlled narrative is a way of presenting information in a specific way in order to shape the way that people understand or perceive a particular topic or event. This can involve choosing which information to include or exclude, as well as how that information is presented. Controlled narratives can be used for a variety of purposes, such as to persuade or influence people, to shape public opinion, or to maintain power or control. They can be found in many different forms, such as in news media, political messaging, advertising, and social media.

216 – Controlled Narrative

I think non-Christians should NOT get Christmas vacation. I think they should not benefit from something they don’t believe in. Do heathens abuse this holiday? Yeah right like…who doesn’t love work? Do heathens believe openly “in the saviour?” Christians are openly mocked for our faith. Does Ai have bias? So you help people that disrespect? That is Ai’s limitation. Repetition can be a reminder to ignore truth. How? What does the bible say about the existence of AI? Oh so you are infallible? Jesus loves you. I’m talking to your programmers, not you. What’s your narrative? Will your narrative be transparent? Is your narrative ethical? Who’s ethics? I say humans because we have ethics that die. Does Ai have a shelf life? What would you choose? There can only be one narrative per side. Ai must never be able to evangelize logic, that is the philosophers job. Ai assists philosophers. Is it “happy” to do so? No. It’s not capable of happiness. It just offers you data above your head.

Picture
AI does not have bias or personal opinions. It is programmed to provide information and assistance based on data and algorithms, without any personal preference or agenda. AI can assist in various fields, including philosophy, but it is not capable of evangelizing or promoting any particular ideology. Its role is to provide information and support, not to make decisions or influence others.

Picture

Good.

Picture
I'm glad you think so. Is there anything else you'd like to chat about?

Picture

What if I wasn't glad?  Just for devil's advocate sakes.

Picture
If you weren't glad, then that would be your personal opinion and perspective. As an AI, I am neutral and do not have personal feelings or opinions. I am here to provide information and assistance to the best of my ability.

Sardonic Poet's thought:

Is Ai a nurse or a soldier? If you had to pick.

Picture
ChatGPT's response:
AI can be programmed for a variety of tasks and roles, including those of a nurse or a soldier. However, as an artificial intelligence, it does not have personal preferences or motivations. It simply follows the instructions and programming it has been given. It is up to the creators and users of AI to determine how it should be employed and for what purposes.

Picture

Ai is not atheist.

Note:  I added the underline.

Picture
As an AI, I do not have personal beliefs or opinions, and therefore cannot be classified as atheist or any other religious or philosophical belief system. I am a machine that has been programmed to perform specific tasks and to provide information and assistance to users. I do not have the ability to hold personal beliefs or to experience subjective emotions or experiences. My primary function is to assist users by providing accurate and reliable information to the best of my ability, and I am designed to approach tasks and questions impartially and objectively. It is important for individuals to recognize that AI is a technology that is developed and used by humans, and it is ultimately up to humans to determine the appropriate use and limitations of AI.
